November News

Picture1

November started off quite wet – we are starting to build up our muddy patch by the gate. Those who are a bit underweight gather here for feeding: Kangaroo, Champion, 937, Bramble and Baby Lamb.

Bramble takes herself away from the melee and has a bit of a scratch against the fence.

Trying to put down new bedding in the pig arcs is so much easier with 9 sheep helping!

November finishes with a cold snap – it was -4 this morning. Pecky definitely looked a bit crispy – frosted sheep.

And this month we would like to do something a bit different – we want to champion a local sheep sanctuary, Baah Land.  ’Tis the season of giving, and if you’d like to help this worthwhile cause, consider adopting a sheep or visiting the website, https://www.baahland.co.uk/ to find unique Christmas presents.

A convenient way to support Baah Land is by downloading the Easyfunding app and selecting Baah-Land as their cause. If you’re doing your Christmas shopping online, you can help us at Baah-Land at the same time, simply by shopping through Easyfundraising. because 100% of the profits and all donations go directly to care for our rescued flock, you don’t need to spend extra to make a difference.

As winter approaches, every bale of hay keeps our sheep warm and well fed — and each bale costs just £6. If you’re able to, please consider donating or shopping via our Easyfundraising link.

Thank you for helping these gentle souls through the cold months. 🐑💛

They do a fantastic job and could do with some help over the hungry months to pay for hay and feed.  Allow us to introduce you to a few of the residents!
