It was so cold yesterday the water butts had frozen over as had the pipes. It’s a balmy 4 degrees today. Everyone has been fed and watered including this lady who is recovering from her C-section.

The 3 boys waiting for their pellets – 885 (937 always sneaks in to try her luck), Baby Lamb and 52.
The barn felt snug …
… compared to this years lambs out in the rain
52 and Baby Lamb have been butting heads though.

Feels like Spring – we even removed our coats today during feeding.
The main flock are in the field adjoining the barn and today we definitely had an audience.
Couldn’t help feeling sorry for this lady being doggedly followed by 3 rams.

It was beautiful weather this weekend.
The last of the sun catching the feeder.

If you get too close the cows will lick your hat, your hands and the sheep.
Today 120 got his nose washed which he didn’t seem to particularly like.
They are endlessly curious creatures.

Yoga. If everyone can make themselves comfortable.
And move into cat pose.
And stretch into cobra.

Visitors from Canada at the pond today.
The veg patch and polytunnel are having a makeover so hopefully, we will be able to buy fresh veg from the farm this summer.
Very cute to find this little guy asleep in the hay feeder today.
The C-section cow is recovering well. To feed her the quickest way is to dash across the pen with the young cows in it (teenagers) – we feed them down the bottom end and while they’re busy make a run for it.
Feeding the cows just involves pushing the hay closer to the barrier.
The equivalent of gathering around the water cooler.
Lambs soon!
