🐑 🐑 🐑

Twiglet continues to be a bit of an annoying teenager …

Picture3

Our little orphan is still doing great!

Picture4

But still no sign of lambs from Torn Ear or Georgia:

🐑 🐑 🐑

After a couple of days in the pen the ewes are put out into a nursery field. Today when we visited the barn we found one ewe and two lambs out of the field and in the track. Shepherding one ewe and two lambs into a field isn’t that easy, the smaller the group, the more skittish they are, but on closer inspection it turned out to Torn Ear who was happy to follow us back into the field.

🐑 🐑 🐑

Today was just a day for scratching. Champion … itchy shoulder.

Picture8

Baby Lamb. Itchy bum.

Picture9

Introducing the salt lick to Twiglet. Not terribly impressed.

Picture10

There are only a handful of ewes left to lamb in the main flock, Georgia is still keeping us waiting …

Picture11

We do however have 3 orphans now who are being bottle fed.

Picture12

Georgia takes a keen interest over the side of the pen.

Picture13

And Torn Ear and her two lambs are doing great in the nursery field.

🐑 🐑 🐑

Arrived at the barn to find the cows in distress and as we walked around the barn, we discovered why, one of the calves had got out.

Picture15

He was gently coaxed into a manageable spot and then picked up and carried back to the enclosure to be reunited with his mum.

The orphans looked snug tucked against the wall out of the wind.

A visit to the main flock was very rewarding with lots of old friends coming over to say hi.

🐑 🐑 🐑

While feeding the Lsd flock we noticed a rabbit nest in the hay feeder, spot the eye!

Picture25

Lovely to see the lambs from the main flock are so comfortable with us while mum just looks on.
